THE RICE opened its doors on April 9, 2020, right in the midst of the COVID-19 global pandemic. As the saying goes, “You are what you eat.” We believe in using the freshest, highest quality ingredients for a healthier, more prosperous life. Our principle driving idea is to avoid unsafe things, not stick with them! All of our fish are locally procured from the West Coast, perfectly cut into fillets, and flash frozen to maintain freshness and cleanliness. Our chicken is sourced from Californian, cage-free farms that do not use hormones or GMO crops. We use only the leanest, Prime beef to ensure peak flavor without excess fat. Our pork comes from Sangen pigs which are renowned for their depth of flavor and resilient health. Our vegetables are grown locally and organically and we only utilize quadruple filtered water for drinking and cooking. THE RICE only uses sea salt that has either been sun-dried or traditionally drained from a kiln and pure cane sugar to season our dishes. We also only offer genuine soy sauce that has been brewed for a minimum of three years. To continue along with our desire to put forth thoughtful and conscientious cuisine, we offer gluten-free and vegan products.
Our house curry is made in store daily without the use of commercially available roux packets. Our curry is delicately created mixing rice flour with 21 different spices from India and around the world. Though we also use organic butter to deepen and enrich the flavor, we again put our customers first and offer a vegan option without it if they desire.
Our mission is to bring forth the tradition of clean, simple, delicious food from a time before all the additives, chemicals, and pesticides. We want to put the best in to get the best out.
