杉本茶 Sugimoto tea (from Shizuoka Japan)

At The Rice, we boil highly permeable hydrogenated reduced water, then lower the water to the proper temperature for best results before brewing our Japanese Sugimoto tea.

 We have a wide selection of Shizuoka Honicha (roasted green tea), Kukicha (young stems tea), Sencha (classic loose leaf tea), and Matcha genmaicha (a blend of Matcha, deep-steamed tea leaves and roasted rice) teas, all of which are highly recommended by our regular customers.

 We also recommend pairing it with our only dessert, kinako mochi (tapioca and soybean flour cake)!

A5宮崎牛ステーキ

A5 Wagyu beef has arrived from Miyazaki Japan which won 4 times as the best Wagyu contest in Japan. “The serial number is MYC22324”

Approximately 18,000 head of Miyazaki beef are distributed annually, mainly by 266 registered farmers. The quality of beef calves produced in Miyazaki Prefecture is highly regarded throughout Japan, and approximately 40% of the calves produced in the prefecture are shipped out of the prefecture and serve as the basis for brand beef throughout Japan.

According to our supplier, all real Wagyu beef from Japan has a serial number on it, and without it, the beef is a fake!

It is a little bit expensive, but please enjoy this excellent beef!

We had it when we open THE RiCE four years ago. Now it coming back with more delicious flavors. Grilled lamb with sea salt, finest black pepper, organic Gilroy garlic  and local rosemary. Put it on THE RiCE and over curry sauce.

Our house curry is made in this location daily without the use of commercially available roux packets. Our curry is delicately created mixing rice flour with 21 different spices from India and around the world. No chemical ingredients added, vegetarian and gluten-free!!

Deluxe Kaisen Don is one of popular item at THE RiCE.

All of our fish are locally procured from the West Coast and deeply selected from Japan. It is perfectly cut into fillets, and flash frozen to maintain freshness and cleanliness.

Ikura salmon roe and Kazunoko herring roe are pickled with house broth by natural ingredients only.

THE RiCE is using Jidori chicken only for all our grilled chicken cuisine such as Teriyaki, salt’n pepper, garlic and Jerk.

Also using it for the chicken egg bowl as on reels showing as we are always modifying how we can extract more umami & flavor from materials.

This is highest quality of chicken that you can have in state. Jidori is raised free range, humanely, at small farms in California. They’re fed all natural grains, without meat by-products, hormones, or steroids. You will taste the difference it’s a very very natural.
